Columbus McKinnon Tire Chipper Shredder
This CM Chipper is a great machine for taking preshredded tires and taking them down to a marketable material. We have completely refurbished this machine, including installing new hardened rotors. The rotors are made out of a heat treated 4140 material, rather than the mild steel they are usually built with. We have done this so that when a knife comes off while the machine is in operation and you don’t catch it immediately you shouldn’t harm your knife seats near as easily. In addition this rotor has a multi-stack rotor design meaning it has 1.9, 1.8, and 1.7 knife seats. This allows a knife to be used 3 times instead of just one time, greatly reducing your maintenance costs.
In addition we have beefed up the torque on this machine by installing a 250 H.P. electric motor with a soft start. This machine is ready to go to work with any primary shredder to give you a high volume processing line.

The MacSaturn 62x40HT has been shredding tires in the tire recycling industry for many years. This shredder has just had new gears, shafts, 2 inch knives and cleaning fingers installed. It comes complete with a hydraulic power pak, electric motors, and electric control panel including starters and breakers. It will be set up with a BHS Disc Screen Classifier and all the conveyors to make a complete 2 inch shredding system. The Model 62x40HT will do 5 to 6 ton per hour of car tires down to a 2 inch chip.

Model 72 X 44HT Granutech/Saturn Tire Shredding System
We are in the process of refurbishing this machine and it will be an excellent machine once we have it completed. This machine will have brand new hex shafts installed, with 2” thick (hardfaced) -2 hook knives in the primary part of the shredding chamber and 1 3/8” thick (hardfaced) -12 hook knives installed in the secondary part of the shredding chamber. This unit will have new cleaning fingers and rails installed in it and have new bearings and seals. The machine will have two either freshly rebuilt 525KYB Hydraulic motors or new ones used to power the shredder. We will be using a new 300 H.P. hydraulic power pac that we currently have in inventory to power these two hydraulic motors.
We will be using a classifier that is set up to provide a 2” nominal tire chip. This unit will be the same as new.
We will also be furnishing with this system all the conveyors necessary to make this a complete 2 inch chip producing system. In addition we will be furnishing custom build stands, hoppers, and legs to make this a complete shredding system. Finally we will be providing all the electrical controls to operate this system and the two large 150 H.P.
motors on the Hydraulic power pac will be furnished with soft starts.

SSI Model 2400 Portable Primary Tire Shredder
This unit was purchased new by a major municipality as a package of several of these same size shredders under a government grant program. All these units were used very sparingly and have had exceptional care give to them since they were new. This particular unit does not come equipped with an infeed conveyor but does come with a short outfeed conveyor. This machine is powered by a 6 cylinder Cummins diesel engine and this engine drives the large hydraulic pumps which in turn drive a KYB 375-5 Hydraulic motor that powers the Reggiani gear reducer on the shredder that drives the two main shafts. The SSI 2400 is one of the best shredders around for the shredding of tires both semi-truck and passenger tires as well as many other products such as drums, e-waste, pallets, municipal waste, industrial waste, paper and light metals. This shredder has a cutting chamber that is 40” wide and 60” long, and a tremendous amount of torque output at 72,135 ft x lbs. The shredder currently has 2 inch 2 hook knives. The shredder and Cummins diesel engine are both mounted on a heavy duty tandem axle trailer that is legal to be moved from one site to the next.
We are willing to sell you this complete primary shredding system “as is” for $127,500, or we would be willing to bring the machine in and completely refurbish the machine. We anticipate the price for the rebuild to be around $185,000.

SSI Portable SSI tire shredder with Classifier
SSI makes a great shredder, and this portable SSI 1800 is a nice 125 hp shredder that does a nice job of car and light truck tires. This machine has been recently painted, with new belts installed. It also has a newly rebuilt electric motor and the planetary drive was replaced less than a year ago, and new fingers and rails. There is a spare set of knives that need to be rebuilt that go with the machine, as well as 2 spare shafts.

Columbus McKinnon has been a leader in the tire shredder industry for years. This 1992 Portable Shredder with a classifier will take whole tires and make a 2 inch chip for a great TDF product. BCA Tire Shredder Model PD1000TF
BCA makes a good medium duty shredder for processing car and light truck tires at a rate of about 300 tires an hour. This shredder actually comes with two screens, a 1 inch and a 2 ½ to 3 inch screen. It also comes with an extra conveyor belt for the outfeed conveyor. It is powered by a 100 hp Kubota deisel engine and can be pulled by ¾ ton pickup. This machine is in almost new condition with under 1000 hours and is ready to go to work.
